Northern Irish pop-rock and pop-punk artist Susi Pagel has announced the release of her forthcoming EP, Worry Dolls, alongside the latest preview from the project, the emotionally charged new single ‘Part Of Me’, released 14 August.
Drawing on the infectious hooks and rebellious energy of early-2000s pop-rock and pop-punk, ‘Part Of Me’ blends the nostalgic appeal of artists such as Paramore, The Pretty Reckless and Avril Lavigne with the heavier edge of contemporary alternative rock. Driving distorted guitars, soaring melodies and candid songwriting give the track an immediate sense of urgency, while Pagel’s expressive vocals bring its emotional core firmly into focus.
The song erupts from its opening wall of guitars into a towering, anthemic chorus designed for full-volume singalongs. Across dynamic verses, tension-building pre-choruses and expansive refrains, Pagel balances raw rock energy with an infectious melodic instinct. Her silky yet powerful vocal delivery cuts through the dense instrumentation, carrying each hook with clarity and conviction.
Discussing the inspiration behind the track, Pagel says: “This is a track about never feeling like you fit in anywhere, and finding that one person who makes you feel like you do. It’s a powerful song that I wrote at a time where I was feeling lost.”
Known for her dynamic live shows, Susi Pagel pairs soaring vocals with crunching guitars, intricate musicianship and an undeniable stage presence. Following support from BBC Radio 1 and BBC Radio 6 Music for her debut EP, she has continued to earn backing from BBC Introducing. Over the past year, Pagel has taken that momentum across the UK, culminating in a standout performance closing the Music for Youth Proms at the Royal Albert Hall in November 2025.
Susi Pagel continues to establish herself as one of Northern Ireland’s most exciting emerging alternative artists, delivering emotionally honest songwriting wrapped in infectious melodies and anthemic rock production.
With Worry Dolls due for release on 4 September, the three-track EP sees Pagel take songs that began as home demos into the studio, creating space to explore their emotional depth and bring them to life with greater openness.
Talking further about the upcoming EP, Pagel says: “Bringing these three tracks from our home demos to the studio was an inspiring experience. They’re such emotional songs and being able to bring them to life in such an open way was so liberating for me. Being able to release these feelings I have through music means a lot to me, and I hope there’s someone out there that can relate and find comfort in them.”
As momentum continues to build towards the EP release, ‘Part Of Me’ offers a powerful glimpse into what to expect from Worry Dolls: a collection rooted in vulnerability and emotional honesty, while embracing the infectious melodies, crunching guitars and anthemic energy that define Pagel’s sound.
