AMA shares her latest single ‘Real’

19-year-old West Londoner AMA has unveiled her glorious new single ‘Real’. The latest single from the Dirty Hit signee is the first release from her forthcoming debut EP Screenluv, releasing this summer. A fierce music video for AMA’s new single has also dropped today.

Following her previous singles ‘Monochrome’ and ‘Slip’, ‘Real’ navigates through dark pop melodies and is intertwined with heavily influenced R&B inflections. Delivering a sharp bass-filled haze, AMA’s sultry vocals heighten her nuanced songwriting. It’s her subdued vocals which set her apart from her peers; appearing to be effortless with a mighty soulful essence.

Explaining the meaning behind the track, AMA explains: “I wrote ‘Real’ a few months into a new relationship. To me, it’s about wanting to be there for the other person and offer whatever you can to help with what they’re going through and struggling with, but they still haven’t quite put their guard down or fully opened to you.”

Combined with sleek production, ‘Real’ provides an insight into the upcoming work of this youthful artist. Screenluv promises to reveal AMA’s best work to date, and with this will no doubt gain the talented singer a lot more attention throughout the industry.

Keep your eyes on this artist, this is only the beginning.
