Already making waves as the touring bassist for acclaimed shoegaze outfit deary, Geary has steadily established herself as one of the UK’s most exciting emerging artists. Having performed alongside deary at prestigious venues including the Roundhouse, Barrowland Ballroom and New Century Hall, she now steps confidently back into the spotlight with a release that perfectly encapsulates her distinctive songwriting voice.
Produced by Crysometimes frontwoman Megan Bush, ‘Singing About My Problems’ blends raw emotional honesty with infectious alternative-pop melodies. This track is a reflection of the feeling of someone in their early 20s figuring out what they want to do with their lives, I didnʼt overthink it. Itʼs all about capturing that chaotic energy in your 20s. Started on my acoustic at home and sent to my producer Megan and they made it into the song it is today. Saw my vision!
Recorded from home. And tracked the drums at 17B in Brighton. The vocals were done in my bedroom, with a blanket pinned to the walls to dampen the sound – very independent artist style.”
