LOCK Magazine are proud to exclusively present to you Indian Queens’ new, Kana Waiwaiku-directed music video for their latest single ‘I Get No Rest’. Watch the video now at the top of the page.
Comprising of sisters Jennifer and Katherine O’Neil and lifelong friend Matt Bick, Indian Queens hail from the darkest and dingiest corner’s of London’s Hackney and ”make music for people of the night”. And if the music video for their latest release is anything to go by, then we say they’re telling the truth.
The dark, scowling footage places the band in what appears to be an abandoned warehouse-come-empty gig venue, and flashes of red filters connotes the devilish edge to the guitar tones and haunting feel to the Warpaint-esque backing vocals that are prevalent throughout the band’s track. The symmetrical imagery featured towards the end is also particularly satanic.
Look out for our review of ‘I Get No Rest’ in the forthcoming, second Volume of LOCK Magazine.
‘I Get No Rest’ is out now via Cool Thing Records.
