Tara Giancaspro is a singer-songwriter that goes under the moniker Sweaty Lamarr and she’s just dropped her new track “Abbey, I’m Sorry I Stole Your Man”.
It’s a dramatic slice of Americana pop.
Speaking about the song’s themes, Sweaty Lamarr says: “This song, to me, is a rebuke of the internalized misogyny that pits women against each other for the affections of men. I wanted the listener to understand that any desire on Jolene’s part to “steal” a man possibly came from toxic media and gender narratives. Jolene, in my song, has to take accountability and learn – even though she was left alone, I hope she can grow and find her true happiness in a healthier way.”
