Alt-rock pair Lost Velvet have unveiled their new single ‘Burnt’, released through Forbury Lion, as the duo continue building momentum ahead of their debut album scheduled for later in 2026.
The Reading-based project, led by Robert Butcher and Melissa Morris, crafted the track together in the studio, balancing understated instrumentation with atmospheric guitar layers. The production emphasises gradual development rather than dramatic shifts, allowing the song’s reflective tone to unfold naturally.
‘Burnt’ follows their earlier single ‘Dark Cells’ and reveals a quieter side of the band’s sound. Instead of heavy distortion, the track leans on subtle textures and vocal interplay.
