Rising alternative post-grunge trio I See Orange return this March with their new single ‘Wine Boy’, arriving at a pivotal moment in the band’s growing international trajectory.
The release follows a pair of high-profile showcase appearances in the United States, beginning with a performance at the New Colossus Festival in New York City before the trio head south to South by Southwest in Austin, Texas. For the shows, the band will be performing with backline support supplied through a new sponsorship with Orange Amps.
These back-to-back US showcase appearances mark a significant step in the band’s international growth, following a strong run of UK festival performances across 2024–2025 and increasing global radio support.
Blending the grit of 1990s grunge with a modern melodic edge, ‘Wine Boy’ continues to define I See Orange’s heavy yet hook-driven alternative rock sound. Built around driving basslines, textured guitars and a powerful vocal delivery, the single expands from its spacious, tightly controlled verse into grungy, full-bodied choruses. Fuzzy guitar work and layered harmonies collide with infectious melodies, highlighting both the band’s rock intensity and their commercial instincts.
Formed in 2022 after lead singer and bassist Giselle Medina relocated from Mexico to the United Kingdom, I See Orange quickly developed a creative chemistry with British musicians Cameron Hill (guitar/backing vocals) and Charlie Hart (drums). Their debut EP Lonesome Joy introduced a signature blend of post-grunge weight, classic rock influence and contemporary alternative energy.
Since then, the trio have gained radio support from outlets including BBC Introducing and KEXP. Live highlights across 2024–2025 include appearances at Liverpool Sound City and The Great Escape, alongside performances at Swindon Shuffle Festival, Festival on the Farm in Wiltshire, and Minety Festival in Gloucestershire. The band were also named finalists at the The Muso Awards 2025, placing in the final six from over 450 entries.
The group have steadily built a reputation for high-energy live performances that channel raw, riff-driven rock with melodic precision.
Following their appearances at New Colossus Festival and SXSW 2026, the band will travel to Los Angeles to record at Steakhouse Studios with platinum producer and engineer Philip Broussard. Known for work with artists including Red Hot Chili Peppers, System of a Down, Adele, Jay-Z and Linkin Park, the upcoming sessions signal a new chapter as I See Orange continue to expand their reach on an international stage.
