Nadia Vaeh opens up about mental health on ‘Anxiety’

A POWERFUL pop artist has released her brand new single, using it to bravely open up about her own mental health.

Nadia Vaeh, from Los Angeles, has dropped ‘Anxiety’, on which she stimulates the discussion about both the pressures and the highs and lows of living with anxiety.

Thought-provoking and sincere lyrics, coupled with her inspiring knack for storytelling, weave openly on the dark and raw track, and culminate in a realistic and relatable perspective on mental health.

Speaking about the track, Nadia said: “Anxiety is a fabric of my life, as it is for so many others.

“This world breeds anxiety as if it were positive for us.

“Sometimes I am able to channel my anxieties in a positive way; other times, it can disable my ability to function.

“It just depends on the day… sometimes the hour.

“I am just glad society is arriving at a place where we can keep the topic of mental health a bit more open.

“The more we embrace the light and dark sides of the human experience, the easier it is to recognize and enjoy the goodness.”

The message of the track, written by Nadia alongside Dion Shaw, is aligned with that of the non-profit organisation MusiCares, which cares for people in the music industry who are in need.

The conscious pop singer has therefore decided to donate a portion of the proceeds of the single to the charity.

Speaking about this decision, Nadia added: “I want to help my music family. My peers need help more than ever with the state of the world.

“The entertainment industry is so high pressure, and this organization helps artists navigate the mental health issues that can arise or become exacerbated from these pressures.”
