LA-based musician, MACKandgold, has recently released her new EP Take Solace.
Filled with soulful guitar melodies and sultry vocals, the EP is the successor of her 2017 release Mack’s Tape. This new EP combines elements of bass-driven funk with layers of electro-pop.
Take Solace‘s stand out track is ‘Get Some’. A track that provides mid-tempo hooks and vocals comparable to Lorde.
Speaking about her EP, MACKandgold says:
“There’s a common theme of darkness and overcoming in each song. I take solace in creating music to help me navigate challenges.”
