Stoke-on-Trent’s alt-rock riser Lissy Taylor is back with her infectious new single, ‘Your Girl’. Released ahead of a packed summer of UK festival slots including Truck Festival and Y Not, the single showcases infectious melodies and a vibrant guitar driven instrumental backdrop.

Renowned for her ability to craft addictive indie-rock anthems, Lissy has garnered a fervent fanbase and earned a reputation for her polished, high-energy live performances. ‘Your Girl’ is an empowering burst of feminine energy, celebrating the confidence that comes with being single. Anchored by bright, biting guitar tones, dynamic drums, and grounding bass, Lissy’s silky, smoky, and effortlessly charismatic vocals glide over the soundscape, creating an uplifting, mood-boosting song with a sultry edge.

Speaking about the track, Lissy shares: “I wrote it after a breakup thinking yes, I could be your girl but I can be anything. I really wanted to capture the confidence and empowerment in being single.”

An independent artist known for her strength and determination, Lissy Taylor’s powerful songs have seen her support rising artists like The Snuts, Sundara Karma, The Reytons, Circa Waves, Sea Girls, and The View. Her hard work paid off when she was crowned Manchester City Football Club’s Battle of the Bands Winner 2024, performing live to 7000 football fans at the WSL final in Manchester’s Joie Stadium. This performance was televised on BBC One’s Match of the Day, introduced by Alex Scott MBE. As a prize, Lissy was awarded five days of recording time courtesy of Manchester City FC.

Recording with acclaimed producer Tayte Nickols, Lissy Taylor’s songs have received national airplay across BBC Radio 1, BBC Radio 2, Absolute Radio, and  Radio X, as well as support across DSP editorial playlists. With ‘Your Girl’ continues to showcase the songwriting which has gained her acclaim so far, creating anthemic indie-rock tracks, further cementing her status as an alt-rock riser to watch.
