Teaming up with One Bit and Haj on the production of her new single, Segiri shares the visuals for her new single “Parallel”. With it’s clean-cut production and dance beats creating a summer dancefloor filler, the soon-to-be-anthem was written about trying to find a soul mate but never being able to do so. If this is your first introduction to Segiri, then get ready to hear a lot of her music in the near future.
The video sees Segiri’s character being shown in two halves which run side by side, two parts of one being that never quite meet. Perhaps it’s a good & bad, a naughty & nice, but whatever the halves are, they both compliment each other enough to make this single an absolute banger.
“I’m so pleased to have LOCK magazine premiere my music video. I think supporting and championing women in the industry is so important and it is to this end I founded an initiative connecting school students with young female role models. I am a huge fan of all-women teams! The music video for Parallel had a strong female team- my makeup artist (ABKMakeup) and Stylist (Pele Eugene) were amazing. Behind every woman dream team is often a supportive and amazing man! Stevie Coales who directed and produced the video is phenomenal! He worked with our ideas of bringing the fantastical to life. The video was shot in one room in Stevie’s flat – the room being completely transformed into a different “world “ for each scene. Stevie has the amazing ability to see things for what they could be rather than what they are and watching the video come to life was just the most amazing experience! I hope you enjoy it as much as I enjoyed making it!”
