UK soul-pop artist Reigns turns heartbreak into something exhilarating on ‘Heels Running’, a swaggering new breakup anthem released through her own She Wears The Crown Records.
Following the vulnerability of ‘Everybody Falls Apart Sometimes’ and ‘Closer Than Your Shadow’, the single shows another side to Reigns entirely. Opening with soulful piano before bursting into a propulsive rhythm, ‘Heels Running’ piles on sweeping strings, flashes of brass and increasingly emphatic backing vocals as it races towards a huge, defiant chorus.
