Bristol-based pop princess Rvby recently released her latest pop number ‘Honey Bee’. Prior to the release, she spoke to us about her pop inspiration and playing Abbie McCarthy’s Good Karma Club.
Hey Rvby, cheers for speaking to us.
You released your single ‘Honey Bee’, how do you feel now it’s out in the world?
I am just so excited to have more music out there. It’s been a hot minute since I released my first single LOVE and with a different vibe to this track I can’t wait to see what the people think. Honey Bee has always had a place in my heart and now I can share it with everyone – best feeling ever.
It’s a great pop tune, who would you say are your top pop inspo?
I take so much of my inspo from the 80’s pop era. The queen of pop Madonna and Cyndi Lauper are two artists who I’ve always admired. I also adore everything Sigrid is bringing to music.
If you could duet with any artist in the world, who would it be?
I’d love to collab with Thundercat!
Are you excited to play Abbie McCarthy’s Good Karma Club?
YES! I can’t thank Abbie enough for inviting me to perform. The line up looks incredible and it’s going to be such a great night.
Can we expect to hear an EP any time soon?
Sometime this year definitely. I have a long line of singles ready to go and then we’ll see what happens!
Finally, what’s one of your all time favourite songs?
Maneater – Daryl Hall and John Oates
