MADISON is back with ‘Your Girl’ OUT TODAY – 14th August – and it’s a glorious left turn for the London-based alt-pop artist. Where her earlier work has dug into darker, more dramatic corners, this one lets the light in without losing an ounce of the cinematic scale she’s built her name on.
Originally from Australia and now settled in London, Madison has spent the last few years quietly building an international profile, notching up Spotify Editorial support across Fresh Finds, Fresh Finds Pop, Pop n’ Fresh and New Music Friday AU & NZ, plus write-ups in Wonderland Magazine, Notion and EARMILK. She’s also lent her voice to sync work for Tencent, World Expo 2025 Osaka and City of Hong Kong productions, so the pop star polish here isn’t coming from nowhere.
‘Your Girl’ began life as a home studio demo written years ago, rooted in the kind of relationship Madison hoped to one day find: not just someone to fall for, but someone who’d make her feel bolder and more herself. She took the track to Swedish producer Oliver Lundström (James Arthur, Carly Rae Jepsen, Astrid S, TWICE, Dagny), and the pair tried it in several different worlds before landing on the mix of radio-ready pop hooks and orchestral scale that makes the final version feel so alive. Vocals were recorded at Lundström’s Stockholm studio, with production finished remotely across two countries.
The result is euphoric and unapologetically fun, a song built for windows-down summer listening that still carries real emotional weight underneath. It marks the start of a new campaign for Madison, one that’s building towards her debut EP, and if ‘Your Girl’ is the opening statement, her next chapter is shaping up to be a big one.
