Uruguayan-British drummer, singer and songwriter Naty Giachino has teamed up with Japanese producer and cult musician Katsuharu Koura (COLA) for a bold new remix of her track ‘L.A. Sands’, delivering a high-energy fusion where electro collides with rock.
The collaboration was sparked during Naty’s recent run of shows in Japan, where she performed live in Tokyo alongside COLA. The result is a cross-continental release about Los Angeles, tracked in London and reworked in Japan, now transformed into a driving electro-rock anthem built on punchy guitars, soaring vocals and a propulsive dance pulse.
Naty, who has toured with Guy Pratt of Pink Floyd and worked with artists across the globe, began releasing her own material in 2024 before unveiling her debut album ‘Just a Drummer’. The project marked her evolution from in-demand session drummer to fully fledged songwriter and frontwoman.
COLA, formerly of 90s cult pop outfit Misty Eyes and now a member of industrial rock supergroup Machine, brings a sleek electronic edge to the remix, amplifying its cinematic scale while retaining Naty’s raw energy.
