Norwegian singer-songwriter Maribelle has unveiled a new lyric video for ‘What You Came Here For’, one of the standout tracks from her latest project, ‘A New Spring’.
Blending ethereal vocals with delicately woven Asian-inspired musical textures, the song reflects the wider themes that shape the album: healing, hope and finding a sense of calm in an increasingly fast-paced world. The newly released visual places the spotlight firmly on the lyrics, offering us another way to engage with the track’s reflective message.
‘A New Spring’ sees Maribelle drawing together art pop, ambient soundscapes and influences from a variety of musical traditions to create an immersive listening experience. Throughout the record, she explores ideas of belonging, resilience and emotional renewal, aiming to offer moments of reassurance and stillness.
A graduate of the Performing Arts School in Gothenburg, Maribelle began her career in musical theatre before focusing on her own music. Following performances across Norway and internationally, including a recent tour of Japan, the release of the lyric video continues the ongoing journey of her latest album.
