Finnish artist Lotta Svart is embarking on an exciting new creative chapter with the release of ‘Magi’, the first instalment in a four-song project set to unfold throughout 2026.
Previously known through her work with pop outfit I’DeeS and later Tears Apart, Svart is now stepping into a more personal and immersive space, introducing a sound she describes as “melodic electropoetry.” Blending shimmering electronic textures, hypnotic rhythms and deeply expressive songwriting, the new direction places atmosphere and emotion at the centre of the experience.
Sung in Swedish, ‘Magi’ explores the rare feeling of complete comfort in another person’s presence. Through delicate melodies and rich electronic soundscapes, the track evokes a sense of stillness and connection, capturing those fleeting moments when the outside world seems to dissolve completely.
Co-produced alongside Sam Sonntag, the single balances cinematic production with intimate lyricism, creating a sound that feels both expansive and deeply personal. Layers of airy vocals drift through warm electronic arrangements, building an immersive listening experience that leaves a long and lasting impression by its end.
