>Reading-based duo Lost Velvet have released their new single ‘Dark Cells’ through distributor Forbury Lion, offering a dynamic glimpse into their forthcoming debut album.
The track features Robert Butcher and Melissa Morris on vocals, combining distorted guitar work with expansive production. The single was mixed by Michael Patterson and mastered by Maor Appelbaum, both known for their work within the alternative and rock spheres.
‘Dark Cells’ builds on the duo’s blend of shoegaze textures and alternative rock elements. It follows previous BBC Introducing airplay and highlights the band’s evolving sound ahead of their first full-length release, due later in 2026.
