Award-winning singer songwriter Ginny Vee is back with her breathtaking and emotional new single “Tears in the Rain” – a powerful ballad dedicated to anyone who has lost a loved one in life.
Rife with deeply personal lyrics, Ginny created the track after the loss of her grandmother, with the aim of helping her fans to feel less alone when it comes to dealing with the oftentimes overwhelming feeling of losing someone and how, as time goes on, this grief eventually fades.
“Tears in the Rain” creates its introspective melancholic sound with an array of beautifully-blended drum, piano, string, and horn sounds layered upon a strong orchestral melody.
Upon creating this sound, Ginny said: ‘My producer came up with the epic orchestral feeling to the track as a stand alone musical piece.
“The soundstage hit me as a huge emotional rush and I instinctively hummed the title lyric on top of it straight away. The two fit together well so we decided that we should make it into a full song.
“Listening back to the rough draft, I immediately felt the loss of my grandmother, who had been such an important part of my life.
“I laid down some ideas about loss, and Steve began to refine them into the lyrics that you hear.
“He has always been fascinated with the line “Tears in the Rain” from Bladerunner, and felt that this is what the song needed; that reference.
“We recorded the vocals in my home studio in a day and then felt that the tonality was a little too high when we listened back.
”So we re-recorded the vocals the next day in a lower key and it all just came together perfectly. Steve polished up the song and we sent it to Sefi Carmel, an Abbey Road engineer to give it that big mix and master.”

Ginny Vee is a classically-trained, Italian-born singer songwriter. Ginny is all about bringing a stunning live voice to the forefront of her pop and RnB songs.
Best known for her success with the iconic “Flashdance (What a feeling)” in the Kygo-styled reboot with Grammy-award winner Irene Cara.
This followed on the heels of her solo releases with the hit “Give Me Dynamite”, produced by Steve Manovski, and the release of the uptempo version of the iconic classic “Everywhere”, written by Michelle Branch.
Not just a stunning singer, Ginny is also an accomplished songwriter, contributing the top line and lyrics to many of her own songs.
Following a string of singles, Ginny released her debut album “We Don’t Know Yet” – a retro-inspired blend of strong melodies and meaningful lyrics.
Several of the songs on the album brought many references to the style of Madonna.
Ginny has a huge following for her recorded work, but is best loved by her fans (#LoVeers) for her stunning live shows where her classically trained operatic abilities deliver crisp clear and powerful pop songs that are quoted to be “better than the studio recordings”.
Her fans are always blown away by the bonus renditions of hits by her Icons Celine Dion and Lady GaGa.
Born in Tuscany to a family of operatic singers, Ginny trained in the Complete Vocal Technique (Copenhagen).
She then moved to LA to master her English, before returning to Italy to be part of a renowned Girl Group “La Belle ma Belle”. In 2011 she split from the group and headed out on a solo career under the guidance of Vanni Giorgiilli (winner Sanremo) and production legend Christian De Walden (Engelbert Humperdinck, The Three Degrees).
She was invited to take part in X-Factor Ukraine and reached the later stages.
For her, the current struggle in Ukraine is deeply personal.
