London-based singer-songwriter Layla Mai Knight delivers a radiant celebration of self-discovery, emotional freedom and female empowerment with her enchanting new single ‘More Than Love’.
Blending the heartfelt storytelling of contemporary folk with soulful melodies and infectious pop sensibilities, the track captures the exhilarating feeling of learning to embrace yourself without compromise.
Created alongside songwriter Benji Wilson and producer Guus Franhuisen in a flat in Willesden Green, ‘More Than Love’ embraces an intimate, organic approach to production, allowing her expressive songwriting to take centre stage.
Beautifully complemented by Eloise Nimmo’s angelic backing vocals, the single radiates warmth and optimism, evoking images of sun-drenched fields, carefree afternoons and the liberating possibilities of personal growth.
Following last year’s empowering release ‘I Know My Worth’, the new single represents another confident step in her artistic evolution to date.
