North London artist Izzi De-Rosa is a pop newcomer with an incredible talent. Dropping her attitudious new single “welcome to my life”, Izzi De-Rosa is confrontationally blunt about the inner workings of her mind. Her in-yer-face lyricism draws parallels with Lily Allen & Kate Nash, while her sound is outrageously her own. “welcome to my life” is a confessional bop that speaks to those who enjoy making bad decisions.

“Part of being human is that we daydream about and indulge in the things that we know are bad for us, whilst constantly striving to be the best versions of ourselves. And the cycle goes on. I wanted to mirror this cycle in the structure of the song – the intense and overbearing bassline in the verses, coupled with the embellished storyline of smashing things, crashing cars and ‘going backwards again’ in my quest to show up as a better version of me. The verses are written to sound and feel like a reflection of how dramatic our emotions can be at times, whilst the chorus portrays the raw and vulnerable part of ourselves that we all try to hide from.”
