“I made Uncanny Valley after learning about the actual phenomenon in class one day. I wanted the whole song to reflect the unease one feels when viewing a computer-generated figure or robot that looks so human it becomes creepy. I also thought the term would be a great metaphor to describe a human with such questionable morals, that they begin to feel slightly non-human and uncanny valley. I left it unclear whether the lyrics are written from the perspective of an AI being addressing a human, or vice versa. Creating ‘Uncanny Valley’ really made me push myself as both a producer and a vocalist”.
