Scottish-Portuguese indie duo Forgotten Garden return with their compelling new single ‘Overlord‘. Blending haunting indie-pop and shadowy rock textures, the track explores how power, wealth, and deception can warp morality.

Driven by a brooding bassline from guest musician Mel D (Argentina), ‘Overlord’ unfolds with moody synths, layered piano, and shimmering guitar work from producer Danny Elliott. At its core is Inês Rebelo’s soft and melancholic vocal performance that swells into sharp, urgent frustration for the chorus. The result is a dynamic protest song dressed in noir-pop sheen.

Formed remotely in 2019, Forgotten Garden have steadily built an international following with their introspective, melancholic sound. Influenced by post-punk icons like The Cure and vocalists such as Lana Del Rey and Chelsea Wolfe, they continue to carve out a distinct space in the alternative music scene.
