Chloé French turns dating disappointment into dazzling dancefloor escapism on new single ‘Love en paillettes’.
The Swiss-French, New York-based artist dives deeper into disco-house while adding a harder industrial edge, creating a pulsating backdrop for a brilliantly direct declaration of romantic ambition.
Inspired by her frustrations with dating in New York, ‘Love en paillettes’ refuses to treat disappointment as a reason to compromise. Instead, she dreams of a love so extraordinary that she might need to search “une autre planète” to find it.
Produced by Virgin Miri at Kensaltown East Studios in Manhattan, the track is also her first release to fully embrace both French and English, bringing the bilingual character of her everyday life directly into her music.
Following EP ‘The NY Tapes’ and her ongoing BISOU BISOU residency in New York, ‘Love en paillettes’ feels like another sparkling leap forward for her; bigger, bolder and determined to keep dancing until the right person arrives.
