After breaking through with a wondrous pair of delights last year, London’s Cherry i are now continuing their upward ascent with the delivery of the mesmerising new video for their standout single, ‘Alaska’.
Inspired by lead singer Nikol’s battle with piecing together her childhood memories of Ukraine (her parent’s homeland) and the current state of the county, the new visuals for ‘Alaska’ makes for a wonderfully impactful watch throughout. Directed by Ben Pierce, the new video looks to heighten and elevate the raw emotion of the original track to dizzying affect throughout.
While ‘Alaska’ remains the band’s second piece of material to date, it shows that they are brimming with plenty of fresh and dynamic ideas still yet to explore. With such powerful imagery and intensity here, we can’t wait to hear where this journey will take them next.
