Alt-rock newcomer Ava Renn unleashes her long-awaited debut album ‘Lightning Child’, delivering a raw, fiercely personal project carved from desert dust and emotional reckoning. Blending jagged rock textures with sharp-edged pop and confessional songwriting, the album cements her arrival as a fearless new voice in the alternative scene.

Written during a period of intense self-reflection, ‘Lightning Child’ was recorded in a remote West Texas house with co-producer Doyle Odum, where she immersed herself in the vast stillness of the desert that shaped her. A full band joined her later to complete the record in just nine days, resulting in a body of work that feels urgent, unfiltered, and undeniably alive.

The album draws influence from the likes of PJ Harvey, 90s punk, and late-night diary entries, with tracks like ‘6’s to 7’s’ and ‘See What I’ve Seen’ delivering a cathartic mix of grit and vulnerability.
