Liverpool artist, producer and songwriter Aimée Britannia continues to carve out her own lane with the release of ‘Pool State’, a sun-soaked new single that turns escapism into an art form.
Created entirely by the artist herself while staying in Bali, the track captures the feeling of stepping away from constant noise and reconnecting with the present moment. Written, produced and recorded in an Airbnb studio setup, the release highlights her fully independent approach and ability to transform temporary spaces into creative hubs.
Musically, ‘Pool State’ draws from an eclectic palette of influences, weaving together elements of contemporary R&B, afro-inspired rhythms, hip-hop grooves, soulful melodies and modern pop production. The result feels immersive and transportive, reflecting both her South African roots and her life in the UK.
With its dreamy atmosphere and confident DIY spirit, ‘Pool State’ further establishes Aimée Britannia as one of the UK’s most intriguing independent voices.
