The pair once again prove their abilities to create a shimmering, sun kissed and effortlessly beautiful sound, adding another glittering addition to their catalogue. Quickly creating a gorgeous, atmospheric lo-fi electronic sound palette, the backdrop of lucius synths, subtle samples, the warming sub bass and lo-fi electronic beats layers to create a warming musical backdrop.
Topped with the duo’s intertwining twin vocals which float with a sultry, atmospheric, melancholic ease, their silky tones and vibrant sense of chemistry shines. Beautifully crafted, texturally rich, the track’s flawless, reverb-tinted production is complemented by the elegant, chilled vocal delivery and radiant earworm melodies delivered throughout.
Speaking on the track the duo explain: “‘Cuppa tea’ is a tongue and cheek song about early moments getting to know someone. The sweet taste of the ‘honeymoon’ period where everything just clicks. The track references where we both grew up, playing with UK cliché’s like being someone’s ‘cuppa tea’ & hanging out at a Greasy spoon.”
