Cassa Jackson releases ‘Wish I Didn’t Care’, secures JLS support slot

As starry leg-ups go, getting the gig as support act on the major comeback tour by JLS is up there with the best of arena sure-to-be sell-outs. But that’s what happens when you’re all kinds of brilliant, and major stars take notice.

This latest accolade for Cassa Jackson – whose last single, ‘Let Me Love You’, clocked up a massive 2million streams on Spotify – coincides with her latest drop, ‘Wish I Didn’t Care’, which will be available in/on all your favourite places from 2nd September. We’ve already made a note of that.

What you’ll be hearing is a very grown up, very personal, very great powerhouse of a record that delves into the perils of relationships, notably the rollercoaster of emotions that come with insecurity, jealousy and paranoia. We’ve all been there, right? A lot of her 150k Tik Tok followers are probably there right now.

It also helps that Cassa is trilingual – having just gained a first in French and Spanish at Bristol University – so she’s a dab-hand at communicating, not to mention the language of fraught love. It’s also come in handy when collaborating with big names over the Channel, including Parisian duo KLYMVX, and DJ Steff Da Campo with whom she released a killer track this summer.

We’d take a leaf out of JLS’s book, if we were you. Cassa Jackson’s got it all going on.
