Belgium-favourite Sylvie Kreusch releases her evocative second single ‘Please To Devon’. Since releasing her debut single, which LOCK covered here, Kreusch has performed across Europe and has even been labelled a ‘breakthrough star’.
This next release, however, sees Kreusch near exhaustion. Consumed by the blindness and intensity of love, ‘Please To Devon’ explores the desires and sacrifices of falling madly in love.
Kreusch’s vocals are impressive; sighing and screaming to the jazzy textures, the track captures the voice of a woman abandoning the securities of life ready to be captivated by the potency of love. Her velvety tones elegantly sail over the almost anxiety-inducing sounds, giving the song it’s feisty ambience. Mixed with tribal drums, Kreusch is developing a sound that represents her as a remarkable creative.
